# Whetstone

> AI fluency workshops, consulting, and custom implementations for teams that want to think more sharply with AI.

Whetstone is a US-based AI consultancy founded by Justin Feldstein and Chris Parles. We work with solo professionals, small teams (2–20 people), mid-market companies, and leadership groups deciding what to do about AI. Our approach emphasizes habits of mind over prompt libraries — we teach a way of thinking that transfers to whatever tools come next.

## Method

We teach five universal patterns for working with AI:
1. Make this smaller — summarize, extract, distill
2. Make this bigger — draft, expand, brainstorm
3. Change the shape — translate, reformat, adapt
4. Check my work — review, critique, stress-test
5. Teach me — explain, walk me through

Core principles: AI amplifies expertise, it doesn't replace it. Tools change every six months; habits of mind don't. No jargon, no 47-step frameworks. Iteration over invocation — treat AI as a collaborator, not a search engine.
